ArcticZymes AS enzymes are firmly entrenched in the molecular research, diagnostic, and gene therapy production arena. We have developed strong relationships with OEM partners, assay developers, manufacturing, and individual research scientists throughout the world. The organization has a rich history in the discovery and identification of unique enzymes from the Arctic. The company is a subsidiary of Biotec Pharmacon ASA that is listed on the Oslo Stock Exchange under the BIOTEC ticker symbol.

The portfolio covers the Shrimp Alkaline Phosphatase (rSAP) the gold standard, heat labile UDG (Cod UNG), dsDNA’s, SAN Active Nuclease (SAN), a polymerase portfolio, and multiple kits designed for use in the laboratory. A rich product development pipeline that averages 3-5 new products per year. Much of the portfolio is available in glycerol-free versions, off the shelf bulk sizes, and custom formulations for the discerning assay developer looking to define a competitive advantage in their product offering.

We are looking to recruit an experienced European based professional to build upon existing revenue and develop additional streams of revenue in the future. The ideal candidate will live close to a major airport in Europe and be within 1 flight to major research centers in Europe.

Our ideal candidate will have 3-7 years of high-level sales experience, a degree in molecular biology or similar discipline, prefer OEM or B2B experience, and an excellent sense of business principles. As a Business Development Manager, the approach is to identify market opportunities, understand the commercial process, and possess the empathy to strengthen our existing customer relationships.

An excellent communicator with ability to engage knowledgeably and confidently with a range of customers from different disciplines and functions within our market segment. Applicants will need to be confident and comfortable presenting AZ’s solutions and show the ability to engage the client as a problem solver. The applicant will be expected to travel 50% of the time in this role.

Summary of Main Responsibilities:
To exceed current revenue targets of AZ’s product portfolio in the assigned geography.
To pro-actively develop, monitor, and manage key accounts.
To identify and communicate market intelligence on customer needs and competitor activity.
To own, manage, and update AZ’s CRM.
To participate in team activities and associated working groups.
To pro-actively network with customers and prospects at meetings, exhibitions, or forums.
